T-Mobile G1 launch - first phone on Android is finally released

cEverybody was shocked when Google announced its mobile device operating system, called Android. Its huge difference from others is and will be its openness - it is open source, unlike almost every mobile OS. Many Linux geeks celebrated this event, because with help of such giant as Google open source standards will spread faster and wider. We all waited for the first devices that work on this interesting OS, so it happened - first gadget operating on Google Android is here. It is named T-Mobile G1, and is currently sold by T-Mobile. More information about Google smartphone after the break.

October 23 was the day when T-Mobile G1 hit the stores, and it caused hundreds of people to wait almost 10 hours to get this phone. Of course, the hype was not that size as iPhone's was, but it is an amazing result in any case. Many people picked T-Mobile G1 mostly because it is from Google, and it is not iPhone. Yes, it is considered the main competitor for famous iPhone, and it is deserves this title - Google and HTC tried very hard to make a worthy opponent. Let's look closer and find out, what it has to offer to its users.

T-Mobile G1 was developed by HTC, well-known manufacturer of Windows Mobile devices. It codename was HTC Dream, and it surely deserves such title. It is fully packed with features - 3G support, 3.2 inch LCD with 320 x 480 resolution, Qualcomm 528 MHz CPU, exchangeable (unlike in the iPhone) 1150 mAh Li-Ion battery, 3.1 megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth... One of the main features and advantages over iPhone is QWERTY keyboard that is hidden under the screen. Real buttons are way more comfortable than virtual ones. Unfortunately, it lacks standard 3.5 headphone port, maybe because G1 is not aimed at music?

Google worked hard on their OS, it looks polished and featured. However, there are still things to be done. For example, all text input now can be done only via QWERTY keyboard. Yup, no on-screen virtual one. It's a shame that this feature wasn't included right from the start, let's hope it will be added in future updates. There are two main features that make Android superior that iPhone's Mac OS X - task switching and copy / paste support (ok, ok, three - with third being the Android openness). iPhone users are begging for copy / paste right from the start, and nothing was done in this direction yet. Maybe Apple keeps this feature in its sleeve to "amaze" users in the future, however it is shame that such advanced phone doesn't have such simple ability. 192 MB of RAM makes multitasking on G1 a breeze (iPhone still lacks task switching options), it will be enough even for very memory-hungry applications.

When it comes to applications, there is all you expect from Google phone - tightest integration with all Google applications and services: Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search, Google Talk... Web-browser is already famous Google Chrome, which was stripped down to work on the Android. Due to open platform it is very likely that soon there will be a ton of different applications for G1, no information about possible digital signatures from Google - if Android is open-source based, maybe apps will be open-source too?

In any case, T-Mobile G1 is only first phone with Android, there are planned more releases with Google OS, so iPhone will be seriously rivaled by the whole G lineup. Currently G1 lacks some serious applications and a sleek design - while first is correctable, second will be corrected only in next Android phones. It will be interesting to see how situation will develop, we'll expect some moves from Apple too - it is unacceptable when its direct rival have some features iPhone doesn't. T-Mobile G1, like iPhone, is sold only with carrier's contract and costs 179 dollars with a two-year voice and data agreement.

Mobile Phone Blocking Bag

"The number you are trying to reach is momentary unavailable, please try again later". This is the phrase we all hate to hear, but sometimes we find it very useful. Do you feel the need to become unreachable to everybody in this world? Do you have an important meeting or conference or do you simply need some silence?

There is no need to turn the phone off, you just need to pop the cell phone into a magic bag and no calls will get through.

This gadget is the mobile phone signal blocking bag. It looks as a common cell bag and will fit any phone as its dimensions are - 104*93*4mm.

It does not matter what network you use. The blocking bag blocks all mobile phone signals and all frequencies worldwide.

For all the girls out there....New Concept: Bracelet Phone

Women and just girls often time do not have any pockets to put their cell phones in because the clothing designer just thought that the clothes would look better with no pockets. Besides, if she does not wear any purse the only place where she can keep her cell phone is in her hands. Not a very good perspective, huh?

What should we do? Change the cell phone itself. The new concept of bracelet cell phones has been created. The gadget would have a shape of a bracelet and you would ware it as a bracelet when you don't need it. As soon as you get a phone call you can take it off and talk.

Very many people would like the idea but there are some bumps on the road for this thing to appear. First of all there are not enough costumers that would buy these cell phones. Then goes shape and size; bracelet size is enough for the phone functions but you will not able to stick anything else into its body.

Bracelet cell phone is a concept devise and like all the concept devices it has approximately no chances of appearing. However, maybe something that would look alike will appear on the market.

  • Print your Photos On the Go with Mobile Photo Printer

Even in the digital era, photos are much better when they are printed on paper. They feel somehow... material when they are printed, after a century of usual film cameras we are accustomed to a printed image. That's why many owners of digital cameras prefer to print their best photos. If you remember the days of mid 90s, then you will remember the boom of instant film cameras that produced an already printed image. The main company behind that cameras was Polaroid. Now, film cameras look archaically, surrendering their position to digital ones. But Polaroid does not surrender - it comes with a similar idea, but adapted to the modern market.

Polaroid Digital Instant Mobile Photo Printer is a next step in an instant photo market. It is a small printer, sized almost like a cigarette pack, and can print photos right from the digital camera or mobile phone. It is Bluetooth and USB enabled, so it will be no problem in connecting your device to this printer. Li-Ion battery rechargeable battery means that you can take this gadget wherever you may go and you will be able to print newly taken photos right after you made them, no matter where you are now. ZINK Zero Ink printing technology makes this printer able to print a bright and qualitative 2" x 3" prints in an instant.

This Mobile Photo Printer can ease the life of people, who like to travel with their camera. It is very cool to be able to print your new photos a few moments after you actually taken it! It reminds of that cool spy gadget used by Ethan Hunt in MI3, with one exception - this thing is real. Unfortunately, there is no information of price for this interesting device yet.

Samsung SGH-A657 toughs out everything, even its owner

Seems like Samsung and AT&T decided to go a little wild with their new Push to Talk mobile phone. The announced Samsung SGH-a657 is by its nature a squad leader. Figuratively of course, it is the sportiest mobile phone at the present moment. Samsung actually had to pick up military specification codes to design this tough guy. And as the result it meats them. It will be available pretty soon as AT&T has recently declared. Right in time I guess – just before the summer season when you might need it for camping whatever summer activity you prefer.

The sweetest thing about Samsung SGH-A657 is, as mentioned, military specification maintenance. Sounds and works great. Especially if you are really going to use it in extreme conditions of both – cold or heat. It will also tough out high humidity, dust, vibration and sun radiation. All that is nice to know, but we don’t normally choose a cell phone by this specs. As a civilian, SGH-A657 is also quite capable. It Supports 3G network, Push to Talk, Bluetooth v2.0, 128 MB expendable onboard memory, etc. The display only seems to be sacrificed. 176 x 220 TFT is not the thriller but yet, if we consider it as a secondary device for taking it out to rough places, it all starts to make perfect sense.

Transformers Cell Phones - New Concept

Transformers theme has become quite popular today and there are many projects working on that. However, folks at Parkoz Hardware have come up with a very unique idea. Transforming cell phones, are they gadgets of the future?

Remember that cell phone in the Transformers movie that they put in the chamber and how it started transforming? Our cell phone could do that too consider Parkoz Hardware guys. Transforming from a usual cell phone to a destruction machine these gadgets would be very cool.

A pair of guns, mechanical legs and an evil mind makes the cell phone perfect mini weapon of mass destruction with reduced power of course. Well this would be helpful when threatening your pets or when asking your boss for a pay raise.

The only problem left is battery life. The battery needs to be very powerful in order to support this monster's movements. Oh, and one little problem, it needs to have some artificial intelligence micro chip in order to work, but thats no problem for our noble minds.

    LG Versa Transformers edition phone

New edition of LG Versa has been specially designed for the new Transformer movie “Revenge of the Fallen”. It is some kind of promotion for the movie.

LG Versa is very popular mobile phone. It is reached because of its capability to allow different modules to be added to its existing functionality. For example, the new game pad that’s currently under development. The new LG Versa is not so changed in comparison with regular. It’s some graphics that’s made especially for the movie, Transformers artwork on the back cover and the outer flap.

Also new LG Versa Transformers edition will be available in limited numbers. If you are LG and Transformers fanatic you should get it before stocks run out. The price of the phone should be near price of the regular model. It is 200 USD with a two year Verzion deal signed.

Enjoy music and communication with Hands-free Stereo Adapter for Samsung In

Very often the purchasing of the fine gadget may lead to necessity to buy something else to experience full gamma of modern technology possibilities. Now when in my pocket or in my hand I feel the pleasant weight of my Samsung Instinct, I decided to find a good hands-free solution to widen my possibilities. I haven’t intension to make a great investment in it, I was looking for solution which can allow me to pair my favorite headset with my Samsung Instinct. To find a cool answer to my demand was possible with Dual Hands-free Stereo Adapter.

Since this small gadget appeared in my live I enjoy hands-free communication receiving incoming calls, and also listening to my favorite music simultaneously. It is very easy function to answer a call by one simple touch, and to talk hands-free, due to build-in microphone. This universal 3.5mm 4C jack adapter will connect your headphones or earphones with you Samsung Instinct very easily, lapel clip allows to place microphone on your clothing.

In the shop probably you will be proposed to choose from 2 different designs. First is traditional design when you cannot retract the wires, and modern, innovative retractable design, when all wires are placed by swiveling on hidden coil. There is small difference in money between them, thus I decided to buy retractable gadget. Both designs deliver the same high quality and portability, just you have to choose if it is ok to deal with wires, or it is better when they are coiled. Being a sort of perfectionist I decided that my Samsung Instinct deserve an innovative additional gadget.

    Stereo Adapter main features:
Comes with integrated microphone, one-touch answer button and volume control
When you have incoming call music mode is paused to manage the call, and after it is activating in automatic mode to music again
Highest headphone plug quality allows to considerably reduce signal loss and ensure the best performance
Innovative retractable design, microphone clip, compact, durable, light weight design
In retractable version of adapter it extends to 38 inches, in not retractable to 41 inches

This Dual stereo adaptor does good work, exactly what is promised in product listing. Sound quality is very good, signal is very stable and strong. I do not use integrated speaker very often, firs of all because as my headset has it and it is much good, thought which is coming with adapter is more than sufficient for work I need. Convenience and quality makes this gadget to be a worthy investment.

    New Sony Ericsson phone application

Sony Ericsson has just introduced a very interesting phone application which is capable of choosing your special play list based the phone user’s mood. It sounds intelligent, does not it? This means Sony Ericsson phones are going to recognize facial expression to make a decision about what song is to sing.

Real applications lovers will definitely appreciate this feature, as it can be both fun and handy. This new feature seems to be another groundbreaking option making it a creative and user friendly provider. Just think about how many times you were thinking about how bad the ring tone was while someone was calling you?

Now, with this new approach from Sony Ericsson, the new era happens to begin. This is a patent application working based on its new technology making it possible for front-facing cameras to click a phone user’s photo so as to find out in what mood you are and finally choose your special play list.

That does mean that your play list will be depending on your mood. Some one standing next to you can call you with the intention to know your mood for fun. There is a picture showing an example of how this application works.

A procedure may incorporate a first song on your phone, recording your image, fulfilling the recognition of your facial expression based on the image received and choosing a second song based on your facial expression.

Another release for today. Now it is T-Mobile’s Sidekick LX 2009. The handset hasn’t brought any big news with it as it has recently come out. Major part of Sidekick’s of specs was known even a couple of months ago but some of those are still argued as more and more people are getting in touch with the phone. Along with it LX 2009 is constantly being compared with its predecessor and the results the newest model scores show the very same basic bias against browsing, messaging and social networking.

T-Mobile’s plan to make Sidekick LX 2009 a Internet-appointed gadget worked well especially with introduction of 3G. 3G Internet is intended to be used for social network apps from Twitter, MySpace and Facebook to Photobucket. That of course is somewhat teenagerish, but the previous Sidekick was and is still popular among youngsters. So should the LX 2009 be. However every now and then we hear about how it is more mature, more grownup. Concept is the same nonetheless – navigation keys at the sides and a nice and easy to use QWERTY under the hood. Display’s response time for changing layout is immediate and the display itself is just gorgeous. Mind you it is a 3.2 inch WVGA and camera shots 3.2 Mpix pictures and records video. One the issues appears to be the battery life – five and a halve hours of talk time and eight hours of standby combined in everyday routine result in two day of intense use at best. These are first impressions though.

Developing Technology in Latest Mobile Phones

Today, youths have a lot of craze about mobile phones. As a matter of fact, the mobile phone companies are also increasing their specialties and launching more and more models almost at regular intervals.

Now a days, mobile phones have created a lot of craze in the minds of the youth. Which is the latest model? What are its features, its looks, colours etc? These queries, at times become the topic of daily chitchat these days. Moreover why not, mobile phone is the thing which has made the human life much easier. It comes enhanced with high end specifications such as music players, video cameras etc., and that too at a very affordable price tag. Moreover, mobile phones not act as an all-in-one device, which can be used as a music player, as a camera, as a recorder and of course, as a phone too.

As the technology is getting advanced day by day, more and more features are being added to enhance the latest mobile phones. Different famous mobile phone brands have ventured into the competition to provide more high end features as well as attractive looks. These brands try to encourage the mobile users to purchase their brands. Nokia, Samsung, Blackberry, Sony Ericsson, LG etc. are some of the giants available in the mobile phone industry.

Nokia is a class apart brand, which is in the limelight, for its advanced and easy to use features which compliment the Nokia handsets. This company designs lightweight handsets with good looking physical features. Day by day, this brand is enhancing its features too. For instance, recently, Nokia has launched some models like E63, in which the QWERTY keyboard has been added. QWERTY actually refers to the computer like keyboard, in which you can type your text messages and emails faster than the numeric keypad. Moreover, the keys of the Nokia gadgets are so easy to use, that a less educated person can also easily understand it. Some of the latest models of Nokia are N81, N82, 7500 Prism, 6303 Classic etc.

Samsung is another leading brand in mobile phone market. The main thing which attract the mobile users towards this brand is its stylist physical segments. But, in terms of features also, Samsung is able to compete with any other famous brands. Its sophisticated features include mammoth memory, GPRS system, high quality image resolution, touch screen to handle the whole features on screen etc. If we compare Samsung and Nokia, then we find that these two mobile brands are coming near to each other in operational and physical features. We can take the names of C3110, B520, A777, i710 etc., as the latest models from the lineage of Samsung

BlackBerry is another brand which launch models with great features. However, the main feature which is prevalent in BlackBerry handsets is its QWERTY keyboard. This feature compliment all the latest mobile phones of BlackBerry. Apart from this, BlackBerry comes with other advanced features like trackball navigation, GPS functions, Java support etc. The BlackBerry maps are also very important, through which you can see the maps of some selected countries of the world. The standard battery of these gadgets give battery backups of more than 5 hours of talk time. The latest launched models of BlackBerry are Curve 8900, Storm 9500, Storm 9530, Pearl Flip 8220 etc.

Most of the Sony Ericsson handsets support both 2G and 3G networks. These handsets also come with sophisticated features like other contemporary handsets. The YouTube service in media centre is its special feature through which you can watch videos of YouTube website on Internet. The C510, W508, W705 etc., are the latest handsets launched by Sony Ericsson. In LG handsets, you would find the excellent TFT touchscreen to manage all the features. The LG KM900 Arena, KM330, GB110, GD910 etc., are the latest handsets presently available in the market.

Apart from all these, there are a number of features which are common in the latest mobile phones of every major brand. These are the camera option, music players, games playing and downloading, ringtones downloading, messaging services, etc. Widgets are believed to be incomplete, if these features are lacking. Still, the technology of mobile phones is getting advanced day by day. Hopefully, we shall find some more features, which are unimagined as yet, in the upcoming handsets

Cell phone in a wristwatch - first successful attempt

As gadgets make their way into our lives, more and more usual thing that we are accustomed to transform into multifunctional tools with help of new technologies. One of the most interesting topics is a wristwatch-related gadgets. Wristwatches became the man's companion since the XIX century; even now, it is a very popular accessory, which shows not only the time, but also its owner's status. There were many attempts to transform them into a high-tech gadget, from a built-in calculator to cell phone abilities. Unfortunately, all those modifications, especially cell phone ones, while being high-tech and pricy, lacked one very important thing - usability. They were too big and bulky, too ugly and too expensive to be popular. However, as the time goes by, new contestants appear... Maybe this one will win the customers attention?

Van Der Led WM2 look stylish, seems like it is the first multifunctional wristwatch with a cell phone function that you will be not afraid to wear. While it can attract with its looks, it remain highly packed with functions inside. Imagine that inside of this small case is hiding a quad-band GSM cell phone with 1.3 inched touchscreen capable of showing up to 262 thousands colors; Bluetooth with AD2P support; 1.3 megapixel camera for making photos and videos; 1 GB of flash memory for MP3 and MP4 storage and playback; FM radio receiver and many more! It is simply amazing how all such things are made inside a wristwatch, and they remained usual-sized (62 x 45.5 x 17.6 mm). Digital number pad can be found on the wristlet; buttons are not big but remain usable. This cell phone watches are designed to be paired with Bluetooth headset, which is included in the package, but if you forgot your Bluetooth headset at home you will be able to talk without it, by holding them near your ear (a funny situation indeed). It even has vibrating functions, so you will not miss the call even if the sound is off, and 7-colored LED light will help you notice it. It has all functions the average mobile phone has - GPRS, WAP, PIM manager with calendar and appointment functions, Photo ID and voice recording, and can be connected to the PC via built-in USB port. Its battery life cannot be compared to simple watches, but for such a technical marvel it is not small - manufacturer claims that it will hold up to 300 minutes in call and 240 hours in standby mode.

This popular idea of combining cell phone and wristwatch has finally come to pleasant result. This watch looks and feels like an ultimate high-tech gadget, holding plenty of functions inside it combine usability, technology and style into one interesting mix. Rumors go that it is Symbian powered… If it is true, than this will be a tiniest smartphone on the market.
It can be purchased for 299.99 Euros.

HDPC - smartphone and UMPC hybrid

When someone needs mobile device that can accomplish complex tasks, smartphones are first that comes in mind. However, operating systems that are used on smartphones nowadays are very different from desktop ones. This means they need other applications, which are often very limited comparing to regular ones. What if someone needs fully functional portable PC? Netbooks or laptops are way bigger than usual smartphone, UMPCs offer good possibilities but without phone function. Fortunately, Chinese company MIU successfully integrated phone into UMPC, making a perfect and almost almighty portable gadget for computer geeks. Details below.

This collaboration between UMPC and smartphone is named HDPC, which stands for Hybrid Dual Portable Computer. It uses Windows XP as its main OS, so it is able to launch almost every regular application created for Windows. However, phone functions are realized in an unusual way. MIU engineers made an interesting move - they decided to not reinvent the wheel and didn't even tried to icorporate Wireless protocols - Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi. There are two cameras - one for video chat (VGA) and other (3 megapixels) for taking photos. IT even has Digital TV receiver, which is fully DVB -T compatible. Chinese companies often want to put as many functions as possible, so presence of TV signal receiver is not a novelty in Chinese smartphones. Las but not least - HDPC has full QWERTY keyboard hidden under its screen.

Big list of functions almost every time means big size, and this is true. Mio HDPC is big - no bigger than usual UMPCs but it is a huge phone in any case (160 x 65 x 25 mm), weight is not small too - HDPC weights 387 g.

This gadget is bulky, it looks like a brick, but nevertheless it is one of the most multifunctional devices on market. Usage of desktop OS means that user is not limited in audio and video formats; there is absolutely no need to convert video and audio files so they can be played on HDPC. It is also very convenient to use for internet browsing, IM applications and text editing purposes due to its QWERTY keyboard. In any case, let's wait for its release; it will be interesting to check its price. If it will be like their previous model, around 500 dollars, this gadget will have a good chance to be successful.

Baselworld '09, day 1. Ulysse Nardin Chairman hybrid smartphone

As we hoped, Swiss gentlemen from Ulysse Nardin haven’t allowed a slight doubt to emerge in our minds about their punctuality. Right as they said earlier this month, a very first smartphone with hybrid technologies in it will be unveiled at Baselworld. Today is the first day of the exhibition - and here it is then - Ulysse Nardin Chairman hybrid smartphone. A couple of weeks back Ulysse Nardin shared only a picture of the phone’s main feature - a kinetic charger. At that time it may have looked sketish and one could thing that it wouldn’t be a handy prototype neither it would be any good as a smartphone when they show it. But from now Ulysse Nardin’s should be considered by others as a competitor because along with functionality and style Chairman brings character of a discrete device for grown-ups.

One of the best things about Ulysse Nardin Chairman is that it appeals to different levels and suits divers measures all a time. Take it as an unplugged piece of technology. Swiss wristwatch craftsmen will not fail with poor build quality and I am pretty sure the kinetic charger in it has been ameliorated to the limit during years Ulysse Nardin is putting it in watches. So it will not fail ether. Fairly however a heralded brand can not succeed in hi-tech everyday gadget. But as they do, should be said also they are not along on the trial. Ulysse Nardin is supported by SCI Innovations.

Those specifications which were announced don’t disappoint: 5 Mpix camera, Interent over WiFi. The 2.8” display is touch sensible. Sounds odd for a classic form factor but one feature totally brushes off the questions. Only owner’s fingerprint will unlock the device.

On the other hand Chairman is more like an accessory rather than a utility. Small bits of the smartphone are easy distinguishable from what is currently on sale, especially with those control wheels taken fully from a watch. The shape of the Chairman however does resemble shapes of Nokia E-series but not too badly. There are five color combinations for the hybrid: Rose Gold, Rose Gold & Blue, Rose Gold & Steel, Stealth Black and Steel & Blue.

At the moment there is no information from Baselworld about when and where “Chairmen” will be sold as there is nothing said about OS and other specifications. The price is also unknown.

    iPhone vs. Samsung F700.

iPhone has been announced a few weeks ago and a lot of people were waiting for it to appear. It is one of the best smart phones in its class. However, there is another smart phone that is on the same level as the iPhone. Samsung F700 was announced later then the iPhone however it beats iPhone in several characteristics.

Samsung phones become better and better every day and the iPhone is almost the best phone in the world. These phones could be called gadgets because they are top leaders in cell phones industry.

It is very hard to compare and choose one of these phones if you want to buy a smart phone of that level. We will try to help you with that.

    Which touchscreen is better?

The size of the iPhone's touchscreen is bigger then the Samsung's one and it measures 3.5 inches as opposed to Samsung's 2.8 inches display. Size does matter nowadays: more and more we watch movies and view pictures using our phones and other portable devices. Sometimes it is crucial to have a big screen even if it involves increasing the size of the device. This means that you are going to have a bigger gadget.

The resolution of the screen is a very important feature that a smartphone needs to have because most of them have screen keyboards and it wouldn't be so cool to type when you have tiny buttons displayed. iPhone's display's resolution is 480 x 320 pixels and it is very awesome for a phone. The resolution of the Samsung's F700 screen is not much smaller and it is 440 x 240 pixels, besides it has a smaller screen.

Having a touchscreen on your phone is cool and convenient. These two companies have different solutions for their touchscreens. iPhone has the touchscreen with Multitouch function and Samsung screen has the Drag and Drop function.

See what is more suitable to you. I think that a bigger display would win the battle.

    Connectivity

There is nothing much to say about it we just need to list you the features the phones have. iPhone works with Quad-Band GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900), it has EDGE, 802.11 b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0. As opposed to Samsung F700 it has Bluetooth and it is an advantage, we think.

Samsung F700 differs from iPhone with: Tri-Band GSM, 7.2 Mb/s HSDPA, and it has also EDGE. It does not say anything about Bluetooth; maybe it does not have it. It is not a good thing because it is one of the best ways to connect to other devices.

They both have Full HTML browsers so you will be able to get online easy and fast.

    Keyboard

There are many discussions about the keyboards and which one is better. iPhone has a bigger display and it has an On-screen keyboard and has no real keyboard. On one hand it is more convenient to use a real QWERTY keyboard then the one that fits on a display and this is the advantage of Samsung F700 keyboard. However, on the other hand the number of buttons is limited if you have a real keyboard, as opposed to programmable keyboard of iPhone. So there are two sides of the coin in this case.

    Camera

We do not doubt that Cameras and video capturing is very good on these phones however iPhone has done one not very good thing. They used 2.0 MP camera in their phone as opposed to 5 MP camera of Samsung F700. See for yourself 5 MP or 2 MP this is obvious that Samsung's camera is better. Besides, Samsung was always making good cameras and good software to use them. It does not mean that iPhone has a bad camera but it is not as good.

    Codec Support

Why are you buying a smart-phone? Of course you want to have good multimedia functions built in. And it is a matter of how many file types you can open, run or use with help of you smart-phone. iPhone has all the standard iPod files support and it does not differ from a video iPod in this case. However, Samsung can beat iPhone here because it supports more file formats: MPEG 4, H.263, H.264, Real MP3, AAC+, eAAC+ and photos.

    Storage

A lot of storage space, that is what we all want to have. And there are also some differences and advantages of one gadget towards another. First of all iPhone has a drive for 4 GB or 8 GB and you choose what you want. It is pretty much space however, there are no expansion slots in it. So you will not be able to expand your storage space.

On the other hand Samsung F700 has micro SD expansion slot, but there is no information about the onboard memory so we cannot say anything about that. I think that it is more convenient to be able to use a memory stick but you have to pay additional money to buy it.

Both smart phones deserve to be called one of the best ones.

iPhone has advantages and beats its opponent with size and resolution of the screen, storage, google maps, push email, HTML Email, and of course it is still iPod.

However there are some cool things about Samsung F700: Better camera (5 MP), it supports more formats than iPhone, it has actual keyboard, and it has 3G connectivity.
