Samsung has announced the i7500, Samsung's first Android powered touchscreen smartphone. The i7500 has quad-band GSM (850/ 900/1800/1900MHz) support and UMTS (900/1700/2100MHz) support with HSDPA for high-speed data connectivity.

Featuring a 3.2-inch AMOLED display, Android's integrated suite of Google products should look extra vivid. Users can take advantage of location-based features with Google Maps, Street View, and Google Latitude. They can use communication tools like Gmail and Google Talk and coordinate plans with Google Calendar.
The i7500 has 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and video recording capability. Media can be saved on the device's 8GB of internal memory or on
i7500 users can connect to high-speed local networks with integrated WiFi and can connect handsfree headsets to the device with Bluetooth 2.0. Users will also appreciate the high capacity 1500mAh battery which provides expanded talk and standby times.North American pricing and availability for the Samsung i7500 has not yet been announced, but the spec sheet suggests that the device will be compatible with T-Mobile USA's 3G network.
O2 Germany has already announced that the i7500 will be available to its customers in June, though.
