Samsung SGH-a257 Magnet QWERTY messaging phone now available on AT&T

AT&T has announced that the Samsung SGH-a257 Magnet, a compact and affordable messaging device that it launched in March, is now available. Users will find that sending text messages, instant messages and e-mail will be a breeze when using the device's full-QWERTY keyboard.

Magnet users can access online content with MEdia Net browsing and view it on the messanger's 2.2-inch TFT (176 x 220 pixels) with 64k colors. Users can chat with friends using AOL, Windows Live and Yahoo! Messenger and will also have access to their personal e-mail accounts with those services.

Users can snap pictures with the Magnet's VGA camera and use hands-free devices with Bluetooth support. The Magnet's 800mAh lithium ion battery boasts up to 5 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby.

The Samsung SGH-a257 Magnet is available now online and in retail stores for $19.99 with a two-year agreement and mail-in rebate.
