iPhone appeals equally to the old and young

A new report from Nielson Wire says that iPhone users are age-diverse and that there are roughly the same number of users over 55 as those from ages 13 to 24.

According to the report, 18 percent of iPhone users are 13 to 24 years of age while users that are 55 and over make up 17 percent of the smartphone's audience. What may also come as a surprise is that the largest chunk of iPhone users is those ages 35 to 54, at 36 percent.

The report also says that 37 percent of users watch video on their iPhone, six times more than typical subscribers, 88 percent use the Internet, 75 percent download apps, and 72 percent use location-based services.
