Live Samsung Jet photos

While attending a Samsung press event in New York city, we spent a bit of time with the new Samsung Jet, the Korean giant's new flagship feature phone that it claims is "smarter than a smartphone." While we can't exactly vouch for that, it is a pretty impressive looking device none the less.

The Jet features a large AMOLED(INFO) touchscreen display and the new TouchWiz 2.0 user interface, as well as a very bold looking rear cover that reminds us of Samsung's "hint of color" television sets. The phone's cover material has a nice warm feel to it, and the soft curves and lines of the body make it very nice to hold.

The phone uses Samsung's new cube-look menu system that is pulled up by a button located on the right edge of the phone. This 6-sided menu looks pretty slick, but appears to be more show than go. Luckily, more traditional on-screen buttons allow the user to avoid the virtual gymnastics required to use the cube.
