Nokia has announced the 5530 XpressMusic, a touchscreen smartphone that builds on the success of the popular 5800 XpressMusic but undercuts it in price. With easy access to social networks like Facebook and MySpace, great multimedia features and a stylish stainless steel finish, the 5530 is a classy device with high functionality.

The 5530 XpressMusic can manage 27 hours of music playback time and a 4GB microSD card is included in-box to store video and music. Users can buy new music direct from the 5530 (in supported markets) or with a computer.

The 5530 also makes it easy to keep in touch with friends and family. It features a scrolling contacts bar that provides easy access to favorite contacts and their conversations and media updates. Users can view their favorites' emails, phone calls, photos and other social media updates. The device's media bar gives quick access to instant messaging, YouTube, and other social media sites like Ovi Share and Flickr.
Users can snap pics with the 5530's 3.2 megapixel camera and upload instantly or view the pictures on the XpressMusic's high resolution 2.9-inch touchscreen display. There's even an on-board accelerometer that automatically orients the display depending on how you are holding it.
The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic will ship in five different colors in the third quarter for an estimated price of 199 EUR (US$267) before taxes and subsidies.
